Hand Book For Boys - Walter Dean Myers - Audio Book

Hand Book For Boys - Walter Dean Myers: "What you need to do," Kevin said, "is publish a book called Rules for Every Thing." "If I publish a book," Duke said, "I'm going to call it Handbook for Boys." Growing up is tough...really tough.

But what if you had a handbook that told you how to figure things out? How to stay out of trouble? How to think about success? How to think about the guy on the street?

At Duke's Place, Jimmy and Kevin find out that the handbook isn't written down. It means listening to Duke and his friends talk about their lives. But how can Duke, a senior citizen, understand what it is to be young now?

This Handbook for Boys is a great book for teenagers. One of the main character Jimmy gets in trouble with the law because he is selling drugs to help his mother who cannot help him to get out of jail. And slowly Jimmy is learning about life and the problem in the everyday's people life. This book deserves a lot of credit. And as a teenager himself says: "This book its even funnier than most video games!"

Tale of Troy, The - Benedict Flynn - Audio Book

Tale of Troy, The - Benedict Flynn : There was once a time, nearly four thousand years ago, when the tall towers of a city called Troy reached gleaming into the sky; when its proud king fought against an invading army in a desperate siege. The Tale of Troy was so important to the ancient Greeks that its author, Homer, became a kind of hero. Long after his death artists, thinkers and ordinary people still look to his tale for inspiration.

This exciting version of the famous story is retold especially for 8-13-year-olds

In mythology, the Trojan War was the last great adventure of the heroic age. Its significance gained a great deal by being a terrific yarn, sexy, violent, funny, tragic and full of memorable
characters plus of course the elements of fantasy and magic, Troy has become a favorite subject
for children between 8 to 13 years. Still and allways a great read.
